What is a clip card
Clip cards are a fun and visual activity in which the child has to choose one option as an answer among three other options. It requires no prep and children no easily what is expected of them. Clip cards can be used by children from pre-K to third grade to teach a large variety of skills going from letter recognition to multiplication and subtraction.
How to use clip cards
Setting up this activity doesn’t require any prep time and is very easy to do:
- Provide your child with clip cards and some wooden or plastic clips.
- Take one clip card and ask the child to add the two numbers on the top of the card.
- Ask him to choose the correct number from the three options on the bottom of the card, and put a clip on the right answer. Using the clip in itself is a great opportunity to train hand muscles and fine motor skills.
- And another clip card and ask the child to do the same exercise.
Children usually enjoy these kinds of activities and are eager to do more clip cards than what you have on hand.
